PART SEVEN: The Bonds and the Yokes

Bonds and yokes are instruments in the hands of God for discipline, not only of his erring children but even the heathens. Our God is sovereign and ruleth over the heaven and the earth and doth whatsoever pleases Him Jer. 27:1-8. False teaching and false teachers (prophets) are spiritual cancers. God warns us many times in Scripture to beware of false teaching.

A.      A true prophet preaches repentance and stays with the BIBLE Jer. 23:21-22; Isa. 8:20; Jer. 26:12-16

B.      Identifications of a false prophet

1.       Every false prophet prophesy by satanic spirits Jer. 27:9-10; Jer. 23:13-14; Rev. 16:13

2.       People love false prophet because both are rebellious against God Jer. 27:9-16

3.       They could perform signs wonders to draw souls away from God Matt. 24:24; Deut. 13:1-5

4.       Godless fruits Matt. 7:15-16; Deut. 18:20-22

5.       They are very deceptive and may transform themselves as angels of the light. 2 Peter 2:1-3; Mat. 24:11-12; 1 John 4:1; Mark 13:22; Rev. 13:11-14; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

6.       The motivation of the false prophet is money. Mic. 3:11-12; Jer. 6:13-15; Ezek. 22:25-28

7.       They are loved by the deceived and rebellious. Isa. 30:9-14; Jer. 5:31; 2 Tim. 4:2-4

C.      False prophets are under the judgment of God for misleading the children of God and sedating them in their rebelliousness. Jer. 28:1-17; Ezek. 13:9-10; Jer. 23:16-17; Jer. 14:14-16; Rev. 19:20

 

LESSONS

FALSE PROPHETS/ FALSE TEACHERS ARE POLITICALLY AND RELIGIOUSLY VERY POWERFUL. THEY OFTEN USE THEIR GREAT LARGE FOLLOWERSHIP AND INFLUENCE TO MANIPULATE THE GULLIBLE AND UNINFORMED, LEADING THEM STRAIGHT TO HELL UNDER THE GUISE OF RELIGION. REMEMBER THE PROPHET OF AHAB AND HIS FOUR HUNDRED PROPHETS AND THE PROPHETS OF KING ZEDEKIAH. 1 Kings 22 and Jer. 28
